Core IMS is built on the SQL data base framework, and uses Crystal Reports as the report writer.

The Core IMS product comes in two types. The Standard edition is a desktop version that works directly with QuickBooks (and other accounting programs). The end user enters the sales orders and purchase orders, and Core IMS takes over the tracking and operation of the workflow of the goods from there. In the other edition, the Enterprise online edition, the user has access to all of the functionality of the standard edition, plus the ability to include third-party logistical (3PL) providers who can have access to where the goods are housed. This is a great advantage for companies who work with trucking and shipping firms to move their goods across country and around the world.
