Direct Integration with QuickBooks: Fishbowl integrates with QuickBooks by taking over all the non-accounting functions such as inventory control, PO and SO generation, manufacturing, cycle counting, etc. As transactions are completed in Fishbowl that require a change in the general ledger then Fishbowl will write the required transactions, invoices, bills, directly to your QuickBooks file for you.

Multi-location inventory control: Track product across multiple warehouses, bins and shelves. Fishbowl provides instant access to your inventory no matter where it is. Simply select a part and you will see where that part is located across all your locations, how many you have and whether or not those parts are already allocated.

Wireless Bar coding: Fishbowl Mobile Warehouse uses wireless bar coding technology that allows the user to pick orders wirelessly, receive orders, create SOs and much more. Fishbowl also has the ability to print barcodes for your products or to print labels for the storage locations within your facility.

LIFO/FIFO and Standard Costing: QuickBooks provides Average Costing but does not handle LIFO/FIFO or Standard Costing. Fishbowl provides the user the ability to track their inventory with any of these approaches and then sends the correct cost to QuickBooks.

Advanced part tracking: Fishbowl handles unlimited parts, multiple units of measure, expiration dates and serial/lot number tracking.

Advanced order management: Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, RMAs, Pick Tickets and direct integration with UPS and FedEx are all handled within Fishbowl.

Manufacturing: Multi-level BOM, Work Orders, Repair and Disassembly.

Fishbowl is scalable and can grow with your company. It uses an SQL database called Firebird. Written in Java, Fishbowl can run on either Windows or Linux.

Sharing Data With QuickBooks
When Fishbowl Inventory is initially installed, all of your current data is brought over to Fishbowl using our Configuration Wizard (we will even step you through it if you wish). From then on Fishbowl takes over all the non-accounting functions such as POs, SOs, inventory control, Manufacturing, etc. (QuickBooks handles the invoicing, although invoices can also be printed in Fishbowl). As transactions are completed in Fishbowl, the necessary accounting changes are posted to QuickBooks.
